Wildcats In Chicago

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Something gives me the feeling that throughout the next year, there will be quite a few Villanova Wildcats wondering around the city of Chicago. We had the esteemed pleasure of listening to the southern twang of Fiji bro, Patty O. Like so many smart southerners before him, Patrick made his way up north […]

Wake me up

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Some scenes from an epic wake boarding session on the days before Utah left me. We’ll have to see how Lake Geneva, this weekend’s potential getaway, can compete with the likes of the Jordanelle Reservoir. (insert cheesy line) Ride the wake like you had a nightmare.

Welcome to the Jungle

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

My first week in a city and my car gets an unannounced surgery performed on it. Apparently, Catalytic Converters are the new Kidneys on the black market. Somebody took a saw to the bottom of my car and cut off my Caty to make a buck. If you want to learn more […]

Tuesday Night at Wrigley Field

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

One of the Toronto Blue Jays greatest baseball players ever hooked me and my friends up with some tickets to the Giants vs. Cubs game. Willie Upshaw has probably coached me in more sports then any other person I know. I played my first Nintendo game and witnessed my first suntanning bed at […]

Late Post: Colorado

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

I was able to spend the Fourth of July with my two best friends from growing up, Karl the Cannonman and Paul the Professor. The twins have since made Boulder their residence. They are both in school, one in grad school and the other in under-grad. We spent a few days rummaging […]

Late Post: Vail

Sunday, July 15th, 2007

The first stop on the trek across the country was in Vail. My host: Myles Sybley, one of Vail’s finest ski patrolers. If you ever get in a jam, this guy is who you want securing you to a sled and bringing you down the hill, he’s dialed. As a former resident […]

Chicago

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

It’s official, Outdoor Brian has taken a turn towards the city. We are now located in Chicago. What does this mean? It means that its going to be pretty hard to capture all of those epic photos that I have provided the blog throughout the past few months. We may have […]

Seattle Rendezvous

Friday, July 6th, 2007

I had the pleasure of stopping in Seattle on the way back to Utah from Alaska. The original brokeback boys of Wyoming were able to enjoy a few days in the sun and rain throughout the greater Seattle area. Joe and I left college two weeks after graduation with a truck and a […]

Worthington Glacier

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

Just outside of Valdez is the Worthington Glacier. Drive over the ski mecca of Thompson Pass and take a left. We strapped our crampons on and trekked up the glacier until Richardson Highway was not visible. Some photos from the day.
